 Thank you for visiting our web-site for Vacation Genie at Snowshoe Mountain. Vacation Genie is owned and operated by Lindy King and Carol Woody. We have lived in the area and worked for Snowshoe Mountain in many capacities over the years (10 years for Carol and 13 years for Lindy), from teaching skiing/snowboarding to waiting tables to booking groups and both eventually working in human resources. We both built homes with our husbands in the same neighborhood. Then, once again our lives paralleled as we both had a baby in the same year and decided to share a nanny. At that point, we both realized we also share many of the same values. We value the time we have to enjoy the resort, the mountain, and the community with our family and friends. We also realized we both have a passion to share that with others who come to the area. We recognized how difficult it can be to truly enjoy a vacation as there is always so much work involved. We knew grocery shopping and delivery would definitely make a trip to Snowshoe much more relaxing. Being moms of 1 year olds we also knew how difficult it is to travel with all the necessities to make a baby's stay both comfy and safe. Why not supply the guest with that as well? What if someone would like roses and champagne in a room, chocolate covered strawberries or a gift basket? We decided we will do that too! All of this, most importantly, done before the guest arrives so that they can walk into a true vacation without worry of the small things. So the Vacation Genie at Snowshoe was born... How did we come up with the name "Vacation Genie"? Well, the definition of vacation is: a period spent away from home or business in travel or recreation and the definition for genie is: a magic spirit believed to take human form and serve the person who calls it. We want to magically serve you so that your vacation is truly recreation! We are having so much fun being the Vacation Genie and look forward to creating magical moments for your vacation.
